Think around last monday morning my best friend's StorageTek 6130 had some problems with the RAID and HDD, then led the problems all the way till friday before my best friend's sun engineer changed the array controllers on the StorageTek.
Just friday, 3.30pm, my boss threw to me 2 x 4200, 1 x StorEdge C2 and 1 x StorageTek 6140. I was to test the systems and make sure everything is ok, and have the basic infra setup before they install windoze on the 4200s.
So I booted up the first one that I unpacked, as the EEPROM boots, it warns me that BMC is not working. A quick check in the BIOS showed me that the BMC is not installed/spoilt. So I serial management connected in to the SP, managed to login, but I cannot set the remote management IPs/DNS at all.
I reported this to my CTO, and well, he funnily asked me, "How? What do you think of Sun's QA?" I was like well, my best friend's StorageTek just died... lol... I never had a 41/4200 server DOA like that on me.
